December Will Be Magic Again
Hello! This is one of my Christmas projects that I've been working on. It's based on the Kate Bush video for December will be Magic Again styled as an Alphonse Mucha poster.
I tried to make it as Christmassy as possible.

It's crap, and here's why:
ReplyDeleteThat chair of yours is missing the distinctive cap dots (buttons) of the amanita muscaria mushroom with which Kate is identifying by merging with the mushroom in her red dress and pale white skin. Check the video again! And check the album sleeve for the depiction of Santa's reindeer with amanita muscaria transported on their back. To omit the critical cap details of the dots is a social-political whitewashing of the original message of her artwork.
Please tell me this is a joke. You are not being serious are you?
